Daniel H. Chen, DMD

Dr. Daniel H. Chen was originally born in Vancouver, British Columbia and obtained his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Chen then completed a two-year residency in orthodontics at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was class president and is the current president of the UPENN Orthodontic Alumni Society. Dr. Chen has practiced orthodontics since 2003 and has taught orthodontics at the University of Pennsylvania Department of Orthodontics for multiple years. Dr. Chen is trained in providing exceptional care with clear and metal braces, and invisible braces with Invisalign®.

Dr. Chen was one of the youngest doctors to be board-certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association and the Pennsylvania Dental Association.

Dr. Chen has received multiple honors, graduating as the Clinician of the Year for his graduating class at the University of Pennsylvania. He has received the Louis Wolf Award for graduating in the top 3 of his class, the Hersch Pharmacology Award, and the Hinman Research Scholar Award. He has been inducted into the Mathew Cryer and Omicron Delta Epsilon Honor Societies. He has received multiple research awards and published multiple articles on bone and cancer research.

In his spare time, Dr. Chen enjoys traveling and is an avid tennis player. He lives in Huntingdon Valley with his son, Christian, and is an active supporter of all the neighboring schools.
